How to call from Amsterdam airport?

My wife and kids had a layover in Paris. She called me (I am in the U.S) from there for 2 minutes using a credit card. $38!! What the hell. Anyways, I am traveling and I have a layover in Amsterdam. What is the best way to make a call overseas (from Amsterdam to Amman, Jordan)? Do they usually have prepaid phone cards? Or is it better to use a credit card?
