What is a good quality sports bike?

hello :) .. i am looking for a good quality sports bike to buy. there are a few options i need to juggle first though. what is a good motorcycle maker (kawasaki, honda, ducati.. etc) i need a bike that is going to last and not fall apart after a couple summers of riding (i live in canada by the way). secondly i am looking for mid pricing not some $15,000.00 bike.. i am in the 5-8,000ish range. i can go alittle higher with the price. but is there anyone out there that can help me find what i am looking for?
