Are Cirrus and Maestro credit cards accepted in India (Ahmedabad)?

Hi everybody! I would like to know if my credit card, which is valid for Cirrus and Maestro credit circuits, will be accepted in India. I am going to Ahmedabad. Will I find banks from which I can withdraw local money with such card? Thanks a lot!
