I am going to vegas in 2 months...i need hotel help. any suggestions for a 24 yr old?

im going at the end of august so im looking to book something by friday, hands down && no more procrastination. i need a definite answer on what anyone might think is a good hotel for me to stay at...something sorta party-centralish. i thought about mgm. but now im not too sure anymore about it. i want to be sure im somewhere where theres a nice pool....in other words, the pool at paris SUCKS. its a giant circle. mgm has the lazy river, the pool party, but its so far from everything that im having doubts now. my best friend went 2 summers ago and TIL THIS DAY hypes up treasure island as party central & with an awesome pool. i was hoping someone might have some insight...i know cosmopolitan, but thats a little out of my price range, and i thought about the palms and the hard rock, but im looking for something on the strip..IF POSSIBLE. is treasure island any good, and is planet hollywood just about my only option (because their pool looks like it sucks too)?
